The Center for the Study of Figurative Ceramics
The Center for the Study of Figurative Ceramics was born from a simple but essential need: to sculpt the figure. It is a place where artists come together to learn from one another, refine their skills, and push the boundaries of both clay and concept. Here, figuration becomes a conversation—a way to explore, question, and understand the human form in all its depth, alongside the many possibilities of representational work in clay.
Founded in 2023 by figurative ceramic sculptor Cristina Córdova, the Center offers a diverse range of learning opportunities, including virtual courses of varying lengths, in-person masterclasses, and artist residencies. These programs are designed for individuals at every stage of their ceramic journey, providing multiple entry points into the world of figurative ceramics and fostering growth within a dedicated, supportive community.
